Sanjo

back

29 Rue d‚Argenteuil, 75001

A few minutes from Pyramides, off the tourist trail of Rue Sainte-Anne, Sanjo is a Japanese bistro run by a Japanese team.

You go for the ramen, the big windows at lunch, the dim lighting at night, and a vibe somewhere between a neighborhood spot and the kind of restaurant where you don’t quite dare raise your voice.

Since 2018, Sanjo has served three hot ramen, made to order with a broth simmered for 10 hours, plus a few small plates to share and a good sake list.

The €17 Toripota ramen is the safe bet: not too heavy, not too salty, and as good as ever.

The best seat is at the counter. Walk-in only.
